This policy applies to the Android app SPLIT, package com.splitgame.split, and not to the controller’s other apps.
SPLIT is a number and logic game requiring no account. Progress and settings are stored in your device’s app storage. We operate no game server, separate analytics service or server-based push notification service. Google advertising and consent services may nevertheless transmit personal technical data to Google and any advertising partners identified in the consent interface.
The app stores completed and unlocked levels, assignments, undo history, daily puzzles and streaks, Rush scores, ongoing Endless and Challenge puzzles, unlocked hints, language, appearance, tutorials and introductions. These records allow you to resume play and retain your choices; game storage does not upload them to our own server.
Where personal data are involved, processing necessary for requested game functions relies on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Necessary device storage for expressly requested functions is governed by section 25(2)(2) of Germany’s TDDDG. This does not exempt advertising or tracking generally. Android backups and device transfers may include app data depending on your operating system, device and account settings; SPLIT has no separate cloud backup service.
Optional daily reminders store the selected time, activation and permission states, and dates needed to avoid duplicate reminders or reminders for completed puzzles. Notifications are scheduled locally, without registering a push token with our server. Disable them in SPLIT or revoke Android notification permission. This storage is necessary for the reminder function you choose.
Challenge codes describe a puzzle’s version, difficulty and seed, without a player name or profile. SPLIT writes a code to the clipboard only when you select Copy. Sharing through other apps is subject to those services’ policies. SPLIT sends no message or result automatically.
Google processes downloads and updates under its own privacy information. SPLIT also uses Google Play’s in-app update service to check availability and perform an update you initiate. The app receives version, download and installation states; it operates no update server.
We use Google AdMob. Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland is a relevant provider for users in the EEA; other Google entities may participate depending on service and location.
Depending on the applicable settings, Google’s advertising SDK processes IP-derived approximate location, ad/app interactions, diagnostics and device/account identifiers, including advertising ID and app set ID, for advertising, measurement and fraud prevention. SPLIT requests no precise GPS location and contains no separate analytics or crash reporting client.
For declared adults, Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) checks consent status; that check can contact Google. Ads may be prepared when a game screen opens, before display. Advertising includes optional hint ads and full-screen ads between rounds.
Where required, processing relies on consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and device access under section 25(1) TDDDG. Required consent cannot be replaced by legitimate interests. Individually necessary, consent-exempt security or fraud prevention processing may rely on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Non-personalised advertising is not automatically data-free or consent-free. Interest-based ad selection is possible only where permitted by the applicable privacy choices. Additional advertising providers must be identified in the configured consent interface.
